AGNĖ JOKŠĖ. ARTISTIC READING “WANTS WHAT’S MISSING”

On Saturday, September 13, at 5:30 p.m., at Turgaus Sq. 5 in Klaipėda, Agnė Jokšė’s reading performance ‘Wants What’s Missing’ (2025) will take place.

Inspired by the Samogitian dialect, the artist created a non-binary language (a gender-decentralized version of Lithuanian) in which they will perform a textual performance entitled “Wants What’s Missing”. It is an experiential journey inspired by the artist’s relationship with the LGBTQIA+ community in Western Lithuania and its narratives.

Agnė Jokšė is a Vilnius-based artist working with video, text, performance and language research. Using self-ethnography and narratives of collective memory, they explore themes of love, intimacy, friendship and queerness.
